What: Southern Ohio Filmmakers Association and Greater Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky Film Commission welcome regional representatives from SAG, AFTRA and IATSE who will share information for filmmakers and for media producers about working with union crews on low-budget, independent productions. While the focus is on employers' issues, potential union members are also welcome.
Local filmmaker Jim Amatulli will join in to answer questions about his experiences working with union crews on three feature films. While the focus is on employers' issues, potential union members are also welcome.
After the union session, Jim Amatulli will join us at the mixer to talk about his upcoming summer production, "Life After," including the role of new tax-credit incentives. In addition, Jim will accept resumes from potential crew members interested in working on "Life After." And someone will win a door prize provided by the film commission!
When: 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 15, 2010. Union session will be followed at 8 p.m. by SOFA social mixer downstairs.
Where: Brazenhead Pub, 5650 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH 45040-2524, (513) 229-0809. Directions: http://thebrazenhead.net/Directions.html
